Actor Jake Gyllenhaal comes from a talented family. His mother, Naomi Foner, is a screenwriter, his father, Stephen Gyllenhaal, is a director, and his sister, Maggie Gyllenhaal, is an actress. At the age of 10, he made his debut alongside Billy Crystal in the film "City Slickers" as Crystal's son. He then appeared in movies such as "October Sky" and "The Good Girl." In 1998, he landed the role of Homer Hickam, an ambitious rocket enthusiast, in the acclaimed film "October Sky."
